Welcome back to the podcast. I’m so excited that you’re here. In today’s episode, we’re covering how to treat yourself as a client.

This is something we often forget to do, especially when we start getting busy with our own clients. When that happens, it’s just natural to let your own business tasks fall to the wayside but I want to encourage you to not let that happen and start treating your business like a legit business, not just an expensive hobby.
Make time for CEO days.
I actually did a full episode on CEO days – episode 28 so if you haven’t checked out this episode yet, you totally should after you listen to this episode. But CEO days are super important no matter what stage of business you are in.
We tend to have more time to focus on our business in the beginning before we don’t have a ton of clients but we need to keep it up even through the busy seasons so that we can continue to grow and not become stagnant.
It doesn’t need to be a full day either. I like to dedicate 1-2 hours a day to working on CEO tasks so that I don’t have to block off a full day for it. Whatever works for you, just do it.
Actually, record your data AND use it strategically.
I’m sure so many of you listening are guilty of just recording your stats for your website, email, podcast, and social media but then you never look at it again.
I want to challenge you to not do that and to not only record your data but actually take action based on the results.
So if you see certain pieces of content are performing well, do more similar content and expand on those hot topics. Don’t let the data just sit there untouched.
Use it to make decisions with your content. I promise that is much better than letting it collect virtual dust.
Don’t let your marketing efforts slip even during busy times.
I know this is easier said than done, but it’s important to make sure you’re still marketing yourself even during busy times. I don’t mean you need to be going all out on social media and dedicating every waking moment that you’re not working on client work to marketing your business.
I’d love to know, how do you plan on prioritizing your business and treating yourself as a client? Let me know over on Instagram at jenny.suneson.
